Radiological Diagnosis of Pulmonary Embolism: the small print 08 Sep 2014

Radiology is central to the diagnosis of thromboembolic disease and radiologists are already well versed in the basic diagnostic process. This video is therefore designed to supplement radiologist's existing knowledge. This will highlight some of the less well known details which are relevant to diagnosis which may help give a radiologist an 'edge' in difficult diagnostic scenarios. These details will include features of the natural history and clinical presentation that will help differentiate PE from other cardiorespiratory diseases. Features such as morphology of PE, resolution rate of PE, and haemodynamic consequences of PE will be covered with illustrative cases.
