Dr Irion graduated in Medicine in Brazil, trained and worked under the mentorship of Prof Nelson Porto, at Pavilhao Pereira Filho of Santa Casa until 2003, when moved and settled in the UK, currently working as clinical director and chest radiologist at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital and as a consultant chest radiologist at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. Member and rormer chair of the North of England Branch of BIR Committee. Has several scientific publications, including more than 30 book chapters co-authorship and an extensive experience as lecturer in meetings and congresses.
