With a national shortage of paediatric radiologists, the task of diagnostic imaging often falls on the shoulders of a radiologist with a broad scope of practice. This broad based teaching study day is designed with this radiologist in mind, covering a wide range of topics.

This video is suitable for general radiologists, paediatric sonographers as well as other healthcare professionals and those with an interest in paediatric radiology.

Dr Caren Landes
Dr Landes has been a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust since 2006. 

Her expertise within paediatric radiology covers the full range of paediatric imaging including plain x-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and cross sectional imaging (CT and MRI), but she has a special interest in musculoskeletal radiology and trauma, including imaging in suspected non accidental injury.

She is President elect for the British Society of Emergency Radiology and was involved in the production of the RCR Guidelines for Imaging in Paediatric Major Trauma. 

Dr Landes also leads the Orthopaedic, Rheumatology and Trauma MDT Meetings at Alder Hey. 

As a result of her expertise she receives regional and national referrals for review of musculoskeletal imaging from Radiologists and Clinicians with an emphasis on imaging in cases of suspected non accidental injury.

Dr Kate Kingston
Dr Kingston trained in Radiology on UCL and Middlesex Rotation with a MSK Fellowship in NZ.  MBBs, MRCP and FRCR She has been as District General Hospital Radiologist in York since 2004.
