Dr Willm Uwe Kampen
Willm Uwe Kampen is working as a nuclear medicine specialist at the private Institute Nuclear Medicine Spitalerhof / Radiologische Allianz in Hamburg, which is one of the largest Nucl. Med. institutions in Germany. He is a professor at Kiel University and an academic at the Asklepios Medical School Hamburg / Semmelweis University Budapest. W.U. Kampen is a certified biologist (Bielefeld University) and he studied medicine as well, achieving his PhD on „unsealed radionuclides for intracavitary local treatments of chronic-inflammatory diseases“ at Kiel University. His main interest is MSK imaging (especially SPECT/CT) and intraarticular treatment of rheumatic arthritis (Radiosynoviorthesis). W.U. Kampen is a member of the EANM bone & joint committee since 2012 and is involved in both national and international, interdisciplinary guideline committees for Radiosynoviorthesis. PET/CT in oncology, especially PSMA-PET/CT and myocardial perfusion scintigraphy are other important scopes of his daily work.
