PORTFOLIO - The BIR/DMC Radiology Reporting "Hands-On" HRCT

26th September 2018  08:30 AM - 05:30 PM (GMT+01:00) Europe/London

Welcome to The BIR HRCT portfolio where you can build evidenced learning on HRCT and rise ahead of your colleagues! The registration fees for this event includes all components required to complete the portfolio. To find out more, visit our website or email us at conference@bir.org.uk

As part of the portfolio, you are required to attend The BIR/DMC Radiology Reporting "Hands-On" training series: HRCT in diffuse lung diseases. This event will provide delegates with “Hands-On” experience of reviewing cases with experts in the field.

Educational aims:

  • To become familiar with common patterns of diffuse lung disease
  • To understand the relationships between radiological patterns and the likely pathological processes
  • To develop a systematic approach to HRCT interpretation in diffuse lung diseases
  • To become familiar with typical and atypical appearances of specified diffuse lung diseases

In each session, delegates will be asked to review case studies. This will be followed by an interpretation session with the experts, during which there will be dedicated time for delegates to pose questions and to interact with tutors.

The number of places will be limited so that delegates can experience a more personalised, interactive method of teaching. Early booking is therefore strongly advised.

The course will be run using iMacs to provide the best interactive experience for every delegate.

Feedback from previous “Hands-on” training courses:

Very worthwhile day. Excellent cases and the input from the organisers who are experts in their field was invaluable. They clarified many points and took away some of the 'mystique' surrounding HRCT chest imaging.

Fantastic overview of practical HRCT interpretation. The "hands on" element made this a much more valuable learning experience than a conventional lecture-based course.

Excellent organisation and presentation of the topics covered, with plenty of clinical material presented in an interesting and challenging way.

Excellent method of teaching. Well prepared meeting with good cases to review. I have already found it very useful.
