Oncology imaging organised by the BIR Wessex branch

Join us December 7 for the annual Wessex Winter Meeting in Southampton. This event will start with a lunch followed by an afternoon of oncology based lectures. 

The goal of this half day event is to provide the audience with a guide to imaging cancer patients and to provide an update on some new imaging techniques being utilized in this field within the South of England. Although primarily aimed at radiologists and radiographers, this meeting will be of interest to all health care professionals involved in the assessment and management of Cancer patients.

Educational aims:
  • To understand the role of multimodality imaging techniques in the assessment of patient with known or suspected cancer. 
  • To understand how to deal with incidental imaging findings that could potentially develop into solid organ malignancy (lung and adrenal nodules).
  • To learn about new imaging and interventional techniques being used in Hampshire to assess specific types of cancer (myeloma and prostate).
