POSTPONED The BIR/DMCRR "Hands-On" training series: Musculoskeletal MRI

20th May 2020  09:00 AM - 05:00 PM (GMT+01:00) Europe/London

Due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation this event is postponed until the autumn. All delegates currently booked on this event will be transferred to the new date and you will be informed by email as soon as the date is rescheduled.

If you are not yet booked on but interested in attending this event and would like to be advised of the new date when it is scheduled, please send an email to register your interest to: conference@bir.org.uk

For this first time, the BIR and DMCRR are bringing a comprehensive "Hands-On" course on musculoskeletal (MSK)!

In each session, delegates will be asked to review up to 18 case studies comprised of six knees, four shoulders, two hips, two ankles, two elbows and two wrists.  This will be followed by an interpretation session with experts, during which there will be dedicated time for delegates to pose questions and to interact with tutors. The number of places will be limited so that delegates can experience a more personalised, interactive method of teaching. Early booking is therefore strongly advised.

The course will be run using iMacs to provide the best interactive experience for every delegate.

Educational aims:

  • To become familiar with commonly encountered musculoskeletal injuries
  • To understand the anatomy and biomechanics of the knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, elbow and wrist
  • To develop a systematic approach to interpreting MSK MRI
  • To provide a checklist for reporting MSK MRI
