Nuclear Cardiology Practice: Guidelines and Recent Developments 10 Nov 2022

This half-day virtual event covered the existing and new exciting applications in the fields of PET myocardial perfusion, infection and inflammation imaging as well as SPECT in CAD and amyloidosis.

Our renowned international multidisciplinary faculty of expert imaging cardiologists and nuclear medicine physicians provided a comprehensive overview of radionuclide PET and SPECT imaging in various cardiovascular diseases.

Viewers will be able to appreciate the strengths and understand the appropriate use of cardiovascular radionuclide imaging.

This video will be of interest to all nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists (both consultants and trainees), cardiologists with special interest in imaging, clinical physicists, technologists and radiographers.

Educational aims:

  • Define the strengths and limitations of multimodality imaging in patients with chest pain and suspected or known coronary artery disease.
  • Discuss guidelines-based use of nuclear cardiology imaging in patients with suspected cardiac infection/inflammation and cardiac amyloidosis.
  • Explain the role of myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) with SPECT and PET.
  • Differentiate the clinical value of PET versus SPECT imaging in specific cardiovascular diseases
