Clinical Insights June 2026: Dr Scott Steenburg 25 Jun 2026

Clinical Insights is proud to feature Dr Scott Steenburg from the Indiana University School of Medicine and Indiana University Health delivering his talk on Aortic Trauma.


The session will examine the essential role of CT angiography, address common diagnostic pitfalls that may affect patient care, and review current management approaches. Drawing on extensive clinical and academic experience, Dr Steenburg will also demonstrate how radiologists contribute to fast, informed, and potentially life-saving decision-making in critically injured patients.


Scott D. Steenburg, MD, is an emergency and trauma radiologist at Indiana University School of Medicine and Indiana University Health. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 2008. Dr. Steenburg then pursued a fellowship in trauma and critical care radiology at the University of Maryland/R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland, where he remained on faculty until 2011, when he joined the faculty at Indiana University. He serves on multiple committees in the American Society of Emergency Radiology (ASER), American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), and Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and is a regular invited speaker at their respective annual meetings. Dr. Steenburg's research interest is CT of multi-system trauma.
