Building on the success of previous BIR IRMER updates, this event aims to provide an invaluable multidisciplinary forum in which to hear about key topics and current practices in the management and compliance with IR(ME)R.
The BIR IR(ME)R Update provides a programme that offers an opportunity to reflect on how the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017 continue to shape clinical practice and governance across medical exposures.
This year’s theme, “IR(ME)R Across the Treatment Pathway” reflects the growing role of radiation not only in diagnosis but throughout modern treatment pathways. In particular, the programme will consider developments in theranostic approaches and advances in radiotherapy, alongside regulatory updates and multidisciplinary perspectives from across the field. The event provides a valuable forum for clinicians, physicists, radiographers and radiation protection professionals to stay informed about evolving challenges in IR(ME)R practice.
